Each tent has its own private bathroom, allocated exclusively to its guests.

Bedding and towels
Guests are welcome to bring their own bedding and towels. Alternatively, you can add bedding and towels to your booking for R300 per night. Select this as an extra when making your reservation, and we’ll have everything prepared in your tent before you arrive.

Base Camp offers communal self-catering facilities with the essentials you need to prepare and enjoy your meals during your stay.

The shared kitchen and braai area include:

• Gas stove

• Traditional braai

• Gas braai

• Large fridge/freezer

• Cutlery and crockery

• Pots and pans

• Potjie pot

Please note that the kitchen and braai facilities are communal and shared with other guests.

Enjoy the communal camp. While your tent and bathroom are private, the rest of Base Camp is designed for sharing. Guests have access to:

Your meals, your way! Base Camp is a self-catering experience, with communal kitchen and braai facilities available for preparing your own meals.

If you'd prefer to keep things simple, we can help you plan your meals before arrival.

Dining options include:

• Leadwood Bush Bites: Pre-order selected frozen meals, including pastas, to enjoy during your stay. Please note that this accommodation type does not have a braai oven, so pizza options may not be suitable.

• Restaurant bookings: We can assist with arranging restaurant dining options at neighbouring lodges.

• Bring your own: Pack your favourite ingredients and meals to prepare at camp.

We also sell firewood, ice, charcoal and firelighters at the camp, so you can stock up on the essentials for a relaxed evening around the fire.

Accommodation rates

• R450 per person sharing, per night when booking for two or more guests.

• R750 per night for single occupancy, per person.

• Maximum people/ tent: Two people

• Minimum stay: Two nights.

• Bedding and towels: R300 per night, available as an optional booking extra.

Rates are for accommodation only and exclude additional services, activities and other extras.

It's suited to couples, friends, solo travellers and anyone looking for a more budget-friendly glamping experience. You'll have your own private tent and bathroom, while sharing the communal facilities with other guests.

Please note: Base Camp is normally reserved exclusively for group bookings as part of Adventure Camp. Communal glamping accommodation is made available on selected midweek dates throughout the year, subject to availability.
